Tada makes the photos in your camera roll move: Make it Live, Add effects and Draw. This page says what we keep, why, who else sees it and when it is deleted. Tada is made by GroupUltra Limited (“we”).
What we keep
- Your account. When you first open Tada we create an account with no name or email. If you sign in, we keep the identifier Apple or Google gives us and the name and email they share; with email sign-in we keep your email and a one-way hash of your password, never the password itself.
- Your tadas. The photos you make tadas from, the lines you draw, the stickers you cut out yourself that a tada uses, and the tadas themselves, so they stay in My tadas on any phone you sign in on.
- Your phone. A notification token, so we can tell you when an AI tada is ready, and whether you want that. To give the free AI tadas only once per phone we use Apple’s DeviceCheck, which stores one yes/no bit with Apple and no identifier of yours.
- Your plan. Apple, and RevenueCat, the service we use to keep track of subscriptions, tell us whether your Tada Pro subscription is active and when it renews. We never see your payment details.
- What you send us. Reports about a tada, emails, and what you write or send in the in-app support chat. The chat is answered first by the Tada assistant, an automated helper, and a person from our team can join.
We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.
What stays on your phone
The free effects are made on your phone, and making them sends nothing to an AI service: Breathe and Puff in Make it Live, the stickers in Add effects, and My lines in Draw. Cutting out your own sticker from a photo also happens on your phone; Tada asks for the camera only when you take a photo for one.
AI services that see your content
We send content to AI services only to make an AI tada and to check a tada before it can have a link:
- OpenAI checks your photo before an AI tada is made from it. It also checks a free tada’s photo, and any sticker you cut out yourself that the tada uses, before that tada can have a link; if you have allowed AI tadas, this happens when you save a free tada, so its link is ready when you share. For an AI look it redraws your photo in that look. For Draw’s Make it cute it sees only the lines you drew, never your photo.
- xAI (Grok) makes the 3-second video of an AI Make it Live from your photo, and of an AI look from the picture OpenAI drew.
Your photos and drawings are used only for your tada, never to train AI: these services may not use them to train their models, and neither do we. The app asks before the first time any of this happens, names the services in use, and asks again if they change.
Analytics in the app
To see how Tada is used and which of our ads bring people to it, the app uses two services. Your photos, drawings and what is in your tadas never go to either.
- Google Analytics (for Firebase) sees how you use the app: the screens you see, the tool and style you pick, whether you made, saved or shared a tada, and when you start a purchase. Our server adds when an AI tada is made or fails, purchases, refunds and changes to your subscription (what you bought, the amount, the currency and the App Store transaction ID), and invite rewards. All of it comes with a one-way hash of your Tada account ID, not the ID itself, and an ID for this install of the app; Google also records your device, iOS and app version and a rough location. Google keeps it for 14 months.
- AppsFlyer tells us which of our ads bring people to Tada, through Apple’s own ad measurement (SKAdNetwork, AdAttributionKit and Apple Ads). It gets the ID Apple gives our apps on your phone (IDFV), so it can recognize a reinstall, the same hash of your account ID, and four moments: your first tada, sharing a tada, signing up, and buying something, without the amount. RevenueCat tells it the amounts of subscription payments. AppsFlyer runs only when Tada was installed from the App Store.
Neither gets your phone’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and we turned off Google’s advertising features and AppsFlyer’s probabilistic matching. We do not use any of this to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, which is why Tada never asks for permission to track, and we do not sell it.
Sharing
A link to a tada is made when you share it, or, if you have allowed AI tadas, when you save a free tada, so it is ready; no one has it until you share it. Anyone with the link can see that tada; links are random, never listed and never indexed by search engines. The video and image on a shared page carry no location or capture time.
Deleting a tada stops its link at once. Deleting your data or your account stops every link you shared at once too.
When it is deleted
- A photo you pick but don’t use: within 24 hours.
- A tada you delete: its photo and result within 24 hours, and a sticker you cut out that no other tada of yours uses within 24 hours too.
- Your account or your data, when you delete it in the app (Profile → Delete account): the links you shared stop at once, everything else within 24 hours except the analytics below, and we revoke the Apple or Google sign-in. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription; do that in your Apple Account settings.
- An account that never signed in and has not been opened for 12 months: deleted with its tadas and links.
- Reports: after 12 months. To have your emails or your support chat with us deleted, write to us.
- What the app and our server send to Google Analytics: after 14 months. What AppsFlyer gets: after the period its retention policy sets. Deleting your account does not delete either sooner. They carry only the one-way hash of your account ID, never your email, name or photos.
- How many AI tadas a Pro subscription used in the current month or week stays with the Apple subscription, without your account, so the limit still holds.
Your choices
You can delete any tada, or your whole account, in the app at any time. Notifications can be turned off in Profile or in iPhone Settings. For anything else about your data, such as a copy of it, write to service@intent.inc.
This website
www.tadaphoto.com uses Google Analytics to count visits and taps on Get Tada: the pages you open, the site you came from, your device and browser, and a rough location from your IP address. It sets cookies for this, except in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, where it sets none. We turned off Google’s advertising features for this site. You can block it with Google’s opt-out add-on or your browser’s tracker blocking.
Where
Our servers and storage are in the United States.
Children
Tada is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep their data.
