How to make a Live Photo loop on iPhone
Open the Live Photo in Photos, tap the Live Photo button near the top of the screen and choose Loop. Choose Bounce to play it forward and backward, like a boomerang.

Loop, Bounce or Long Exposure
- Open Photos and open a Live Photo. To see only Live Photos, tap Collections, then Media Types, then Live Photos.
- Tap the Live Photo button near the top of the screen.
- Choose an effect: Loop plays the moment over and over; Bounce plays it forward, then backward; Long Exposure blurs whatever moved, like a slow shutter.
These are the steps in Apple’s own guide to Live Photos. Apple notes that editing the Live Photo in another app afterwards can remove the effect.
No Live Photo of that moment?
Loop and Bounce only work on Live Photos. If the photo is a still, make it a Live Photo first: open Tada, tap Make it Live, pick the photo and tap Save. Breathe and Puff are made to loop smoothly on their own.
